Bad Support
Hi I bought myself a LG 3D Blu Ray Sound Home Theatre (model no: HX996TS) system about 9 years ago and it cost me a lot. 2 Weeks ago i switched it on only to see a message pop up on the front panel on the Blu ray player saying PLEASE WAIT. It would then switch off. So i took it to their service centre in Stikland in Cape Town (07/01/2021) thinking they would repair it only to get a call 7 hours later saying that LG doesn't support that product anymore and they don't make parts for it so it CANNOT BE REPAIRED.
I spent a lot of money buying it thinking that it is a good brand and that it would be supported for a long time. Now i am sitting with a paper weight.

I have checked the system and unfortunately it is true.
The parts for that particular model have been discontinued.
Therefore there is no way to repair it unfortunately.

For such a big company that is sad. So buying LG means that you will have to replace it over a couple of years as parts will not be available. i loved my blu ray setup but i am done with supporting a company that does'nt support me.
