PATHETIC WEDDING SERVICE RECEIVED
Getting married is the most wonderful feeling ever.. especially for a lady who's been looking forward to having THEE PERFECT wedding day since primary school days. We got engaged in August 2018 and I was 100% convinced on giving myself ENOUGH time to find the perfect venue, the perfect wedding date and not be stressed out at the same time. I chose a "nice" Saturday date... 9/11/2019. Having gone to view a few venues, on 30 September 2018 - we viewed an AMAZING venue called Lezar Opstal in Heidelberg. I was sold on the first couple of minutes from being there. As usual with these things, I wanted a second viewing to finalise the finer things in terms of payment and to book our beautiful date on the 18th of October with Heleen. The 3rd of November was the day we booked to have our second viewing. The week of the viewing, I confirmed with Heleen from Lezar Opstal if we were still on for Saturday, she then asked if we could come the Friday instead. This is not possible due to our work schedules so we kept Saturday. Friday morning, I get a phone call saying Heleen has been hospitalised so it's not possible to come anymore. (This is after we have made this massive Plan to go to the Vaal for the weekend and then leave from there to Heidelberg as it is closer and this cancelled viewing sounded sounding slightly suspicious after being asked to move the viewing). I then also asked for a provisional booking for 9 November 2019- this is agreed upon. Lezar Opstal closes from 15 December - 2 January. On 30 December 2018, I ask to view the venue to finalise everything so i know in my heart of hearts, our BIG DAY was booked. I ask for the 12th January 2019- this is not possible because there's a wedding on, I then opt for the 6th of January 2019 and Heleen advises that she would let me know. I awaited her response. By the 3rd of January 2019, I have to re-ask for confirmation of the appointment as this appointment involved other family members to come along too, thus I needed to finalise this appointment. AFTER ALL THIS TIME, the response I get from Heleen herself is: Sorry this sunday is not going to work for us. Next sunday ? This is when I burst into tears and cancelled the entire booking because when the planning starts off so poorly, can you imagine what your wedding day would be like!!! After stating that I want to cancel my booking and not have my wedding there, I then get told- no, now we can keep our Sunday 6 January 2019 appointment. It's now the middle of January 2019, I'm finding myself feeling let down, angry, hurt and stressed out at trying to find another venue for 10 months time, only having to be told that the 9th of November 2019 at most places have been taken. So thanks to this level of incompetence from one supplier, my wedding day is already ruined and my plans are disrupted. The level of frustration is beyond anything I have ever experienced. I'm emotionally exhausted because of what she's done.
