Pathetic service

Good day Lexus SA

The response below is the most pathetic response I have ever witnessed.

1. Lexus Lynnwood took my car in for a service 05.12.2019. I highlighted the additional defects to be attended to. Please see the attached....Shocks to be checked

They dismally failed to notify me that they did not have shocks in the dealership. They washed the car and ordered me to fetch it and Meyer Swanepoel - General Manager uttered how I drove with the car that's defective for a year so what is wrong now. He threatened to call security on me...Gosh I was not scared.

During the time of me waiting for the car...I was the one following up on them....I have the emails i sent to Kefilwe.

I fought heavily to get a courtesy car..They filled it up with R200 and gave it to me. I saw the receipt in the car. I had to call in Lexus SA and you guys mediated the matter. I was eventually given the car. I profusely refused to be bul**** by these people.

I paid the R3004.60 for the 225 000km service. Inclusive of Labour of R823 as per the invoice attached.

2. They gave me a ridiculous bill of 2x KYB SHOCKS REAR of R8067.92 and I told them it's a bit too much and I took the quotation and asked to go shop around. On the quotation, they added the fan motor for the air con = R4864.11.

3. I found a very reliable supplier for the shocks and they gave me 4x KYB SHOCKS at R6000. I notified them via email. This was better as opposed to their ridiculous amount of R8067.92 for only 2x shocks.

4. I kept on updating them pertaining to the delivery - Pieter and Kefilwe specifically.

5. The shocks were ultimately delivered on a Saturday - 14.12.2019 at 09:00. I again called Kefilwe that the shocks have been delivered. I drove to Lexus Lynnwood and I dropped the 4x shocks with a sales person called Ananda.

6. I am still not told of any labour or fitment amount and I was just consistently reminded that they need their courtesy car back.I paid the fan motor.

7. Today, I called as early as 07:50 to see to it that they received the shocks. Kefilwe attested that she indeed received them and that they will then fit them and deliver the car to me. Still no fitment or labour charges uttered to me.

8. Attached is the quotation of both the shocks and the fan motor that I paid in full last week Monday. Proof of payment is evident. The part arrived on Thursday- Pieter told me and wats apped me. He again never mentioned any labour costs at that point.

9. Today, as I was calling Kefilwe, I mentioned that I will make arrangements for the drop off point of the Lexus and the pick up point on the Etios - I have recorded all our conversations. Proof on request

10. She uttered that the driver is not there and that she will ask the technician to deliver the Lexus for me in Witbank or alternatively she will have to ask the driver to be at Witbank tomorrow - 18.12.2019 to deliver the car for me. What is ironic is she told me about the future defects that I may experience e.g. the solenoid failure in the gearbox. She sent me a wats app with a snapshot. See attached

11. How I was told about Phillip was through her....i have been waiting to hear from her his contact details as I want to expose this illtreatment with Philip. I asked Pieter for his numbers as well. I have been denied the number to this moment.

12. Why I say the response below is utter nonsense is that the quotation for both the shocks and the fan motor had no Labour / Fitment charges. It is R0.00. See the attached. The email below has no attachment either. Now she is making empty and cheap threats that I will not get my car until fitment payment is received.

She told me that The driver will be at Witbank first thing in the morning after 07:30...I have the recording...we may play it and hear. Now she writes emails with no attachment of fitment payments that are non existent. That is cheap and unprofessioanal if you ask me.

13. The Etios is ready to be collected. I demand I have my car back. It is not my fault that I never went for the ridiculous price of 2x shocks worth R8067.92. The service experienced was a nightmare. They should not be so bitter that I reported the matter in the manner that I did. I am still not done. Trust me

I demand my car to be released after this horrible service with these people at Lynnwood Lexus. I wrote am email demnding we organise the drop off of the Lexus. They remained quiet until I get a below email that is so far fetched. Kindly intervene for an amicable resolution.

All proof are available on request. The recordings especially.

Afternoon

Please take note that as soon as the payment for the fitment has been paid

we will be able to send our driver to your home.

Without the payment for fitment of the shocks and aircon motor, your vehicle will not be delivered.

Kind regards
