Faulty steering rack

Please note i am giving you the tip of the iceberg. We had a part replaced on our 2006 lexus is250 in 2015 and when we got the vehicle back the car started with the same issue again, we tried to contact the dealer for over 8 months to bring the issue to light to no avail, the year gaurentee on the part expired and they then refused to listen to us yet again saying the gauretee is over, the part lasted 175000km in the vehicle before it was supposedly repaced and the didnt last 5000km after "replacement" the electrical connectors on the part were tied down with zipties and the parts looked old and tarnished as if it was the same parts that were in the car just repaired and not new parts. The vehicle had been in two accidents recently due to the problem and thus we tried fighting again, no one wants to listen and keep telling us we took too long to contact the dealer as we have no proof of telephonic conversations with the dealership in that first year that we tried to get help. What can we do further i am so tired of hitting my head against the wall. Thank you Greetings Wickus Barnard
