Outrageous and fabricated statement

An account of mine was handed over and LexMed did not once try to make contact with me, via phone or email. They only made contact with me in Jan 2018 when I requested a statement from the company that orginally held my account. Now I owe LexMed R2500 when the initial amount on my account was under R250. NO way am I paying! LexMed claim to have tried making contact with me, even going as far as charging R18 for an email - what email? To the ****in moon? The "statement" sent by Lexmed is ludacris!
