Worst customer experiense

We ordered 2 books through LexisNexis in March. We paid the amount (2 books and delivery) in full.

I have never received a formal invoice for the books, but I received an invoice for the delivery.

We received additional invoices (which I assumed was for the two books) and I enquired about them. I was informed by Carmen Oosthuizen that i can ignore the invoices, as they get generated even though the account is paid in full.

I received a written warning and account statement early September for an outstanding amount. I enquired again with Carmen and never received any response.

October I received a letter of demand for the amount and the letter said i will be handed over to a debt collecting agency.

I emailed again and no response. Aftter finally getting through to someone in the call centre I was informed that this was for the subscribtion and the updates that were delivered.

I never received any updates and no one at any stage informed me of any type of subsribtion. I have never been informed of this services and never opted for this.

I was informed that I should cancel the subscribtion. When I received a form for the cancellation of the subscription i noticed that there will be a pebalty fee for the cancellation of the subscribtion.

I email my form, as well as all communication with lexisnexis and query to the client care email address.

I requested info on: *Who received the updates for the books *Why I was never informed of the subsribtion *As a result of not receiving the goods or opting in for this service, how will Lexis Nexis be handling the invoice and handing over to a collection agency?

I will not be paying for something I did not receive.

I sent various emails and called, but no feedback received. It is ridicilous that no one is taking accountability for this and that there is no response to my queries.

Hello Zelda,

Please accept our apologies for the miscommunication surrounding your recent purchase from LexisNexis. This was definitely not handled according to our standards and we are investigating the matter further.

Our accounts department has indicated that they have processed the credits on our account, which now reflects a nil balance.

Again, we apologise for the inconvenience caused and look forward to providing you with service excellence in the future.

Kind regards

Neliswa Mncube
