DO NOT BUY EBOOKS FROM LEXISNEXIS

I bought an ebook in 2016. I downloaded the ebook to both my PC (Adobe Digital Editions) and my iPad (Bluefire Reader). I need to access this ebook again but the ebook is on niether of my devices. Since I have already paid for this ebook, I requested a new link to download it. I have purchased numerous ebooks from Takealot which gives me unlimited access to ebooks I buy via a digital library. This was my first ebook purchase from LexisNexis. I have been told by LexisNexis that I need to purchase the ebook again for a new link (which is only valid for 14 days - does that mean we pay for 14 days worth of access to an ebook? What if your device is ****** or your PC crashes? THE WHOLE POINT OF HAVING AN EBOOK IS TO HAVE IT ON A DOCUMENT CLOUD ACCESSIBLE AT ANY TIME). The reason why I bought an ebook instead of a hardcover book is because they are easier to access and cannot be lost. It's utterly ridiculous that I have to pay for this book again. I buy ebooks as a safety precaution against loss as these are textbooks which I need for my studies. All I want is access to an ebook I have already paid for.
