Why pay for goods i didn't receive?!

My mother went to purchase a fridge at your Phalaborwa branch, she was told that the fridge she wanted was out of stock. They proposed \borrowing"her a fridge while they were waiting for the one she wanted. This happened on the 20th of February this year"
