Good day All I hope you are well? The matter of taking Ownership on the previous problem was resolved and appreciated. Now as an independent contractor for Lewis Furniture store in Boksburg I have been placed on the system with an employee number which is great. However the contract signed was vague and the information of how payment of commission for sales made for the company was confusing. First I was told I would be paid 12.5% on each sale. So I sold a bed for R5000 and the commission should have been R625 as I understood it and paid in cash. Yesterday I was told a very different story by a Lady from Lewis that was dealing with the matter ( It's weird no one uses names) So the story is that how does one calculate commission? So I was told that you take the price of the bed + 15% vat minus the actual cost of the product and multiple that by 12.5% minus tax for the government. So that amounted to R195. I was told that for every R 30 000 sales made I would also receive a voucher for ShopRite for R500 and for another R 30 000 another voucher. I was promised my payment for R195 either 19:00pm yesterday or today, but it's nearly 12 in the afternoon and nothing. I know R195 is a petty amount to complain about. As per Lewis Furniture Values of Integrity. The following was not done. Operate with honesty and transparency. This more like confusion and no transparency. I wish that this matter be resolved soon as I have handed out over 500 pamphlets and have a small group of potential customers but how can you wait nearly two months to get on a computer system. The sale is done quickly but remuneration is slow. Maybe I am wrong because I come from a Customer Service Environment and not a Sales Environment. The difference between the two is vast as the customer service places them first. I am not going to mention names of the people I am dealing with out of respect for the individual as I believe this is a human error as well as systems error. There are many Values of the company that should be taken into account. So to conclude this message I still believe that Lewis can be the leading group, preferred and trusted in Southern Africa
