Unfair ITC listing and pathetic service

I am very shocked to find out that I'm not the only person that is a victim of the inefficiencies of Lewis Stores (Noluthando N's story).

I too have the unfortunate wake up of finding out that I have been listed on ITC by Lewis Stores even though I have an account with them. I'm in the process of trying to buy a car and just had finance application declined because of being listed on ITC.

In April 2019 I started getting unauthorised debit orders from Lewis Stores for about R1600. I disputed the debit order with my Bank and contacted Lewis to find out why they are debiting my account. Moira Suntelle, who is a consultant told me to send a certified copy of my ID, my bank statements, three specimen signatures and an affidavit. All these documents were emailed to them in May and they acknowledged and told that they were going to be referred to their ***** department. The debit orders carried on and every month since April I've had to reverse them and incur bank charges. I sent numerous follow ups with Moira until July when I got an email from here, wherein she confirmed that they have identified the account as ***** and that the debit orders will be stopped. The debit orders never stopped; at end of July the amount changed to R475 and I send another email. As a result of all this, now I cant buy a car. Yesterday I sent them an email demanding a letter that the ITC listing was done in error and the immediately remove the ITC listing which they have not done. My credit worthiness has been ruined for something that was reported to them early enough.

I am approaching the credit Ombud with this matter and every consumer forum until they sort this mess out.

Good people, do yourselves a favour and stay away from these people. They are creating ********** accounts because they know some dont check all their debit orders and if you dispute it, they blacklist you.
