Unacceptable Credit Practice

My domestic helper went to your store in Henneman and purchased a washing machine some time back which she is still paying off, she later went and purchased a dining room suite which arrived and was broken. All of this was done on HP. She cannot afford the installments on ANY of the stuff she purchased, I tried to assist her but no one will speak to me regarding her account. I have recently emigrated and she is now retrenched. The last I heard they are expected her to still continue paying the account and she cannot physically afford this - least of all now as she sits without work. No where along the line was I contacted regarding her earnings or to confirm employment. I am certain this is unfair credit practice. When I ask for the information I am told that I cannot be provided with it as sara is not in my presence yet when se went to the store and called my mom from there it would appear they also wouldnt asisst. She has retrenchment insurance on the finance and I was assured this would be settled immediately on presentation of the documents required - I have done this and yet she has bee told that she must continue to pay. I am now sitting in New Zealand which makes helping her virtually impossible and I made numerous attempts to do this before leaving SA.
