poor service

First I must declare I’m not one who likes complaining. But I was left with an egg on my face after visiting the Lewis branch in Schoemansdal in the Mpumalanga region. I bought a kitchen unit on July 3 (Friday).. I bought it cash as I’ve previously bought a fridge, two beds and a chest of drawers from the same shop. The kitchen unit was delivered on the same day on Friday after they had assembled it.. I was utterly disappointed at the shoddy job done in assembling the unit.. one of the handles was not tightened, The unit doors were skewed and one of the corners seemed chipped off. I called the sales lady (I have also bought from her) to complain. On Monday (6Jul) I went back to the shop to convey my dissatisfaction and showed the pictures to the lady that had sold me the cup who in-turn related same to her manager. The manager promised to deliver the table on Wednesday/Thursday (8/9 July) . The week went by nothing happened, not even a decent call to update me. I then made a call on Friday to enquire on where my replacement unit is? The manager said she didn’t find stock where she had hoped to source it from- I was fuming and I asked her why couldn’t she call me to update me. As I speak to you I still don’t have the unit. I told her that I am going to complain I am not really happy at all . Actually I have made a conscious decision not to buy anything from that shop. They may have good and quality goods that but because of a de-service I feel let down. It cannot be that up to now I still don’t have the cup board. I’m still stuck with the messed up one and my wife doesn’t want to use it in the meantime whilst awaiting the replacement one. I emailed the customer care centre to lodge a complain on July 13, they read my email same day and ask if i could give them my ID number which i did on the same. To this date being 20 July, i have not received feedback from the shop or from the customer care centre. I am really disappointed.
