Penalised for an error made by Lewis stuff member

Unhappy customer-I went to the store to reduce my monthly instalment and a new debit order was approved.

Now I’m being threatened that they will deduct 50% because the new debit order was not supposed to be approved.

Why am I being penalised for an error that was made from their site?
