NEGLIGENCE AND NON COMPITENT

I did lay buy with Lewis Stores .3 weeks after I have done my laybuy went back to the store and I paid for Couch in full, 3 days later I went back to collect my couch I was told its out of stock they will try and find it in another branches, later I was advise that they cant find it in all the branches was told to came and fetch my money today when I went to the store they told me that they don't , have money; I asked the lady who was helping me when must I come back, she said "' she cannot really tell me because they depend on customer who will come and buy or pay their account" I don't understand what type of a joke is this , because in my understanding when you lay buy something you reserve it, I don't understand why was this sold from the first place.

If I don't receive my money before COD, tomorrow I am going to small claims court to open a case.
