Monthly installments not being allocated to our account

Since last year October I have been paying monthly installments to the Lewis Group (amounting to R9000) that they have been failing to allocate to my account. Before that time, I had no problem getting my payments allocated. I have contacted the local branch who says we should phone the Lewis legal department for assistance. I have emailed the Lewis Customer Service twice this month with all proof of payment. They don't even send recognition of receipt of the email, much less respond that they are attending my query. I have asked my bank to recall the last payment and after the process was informed by the bank that the recall was unsuccessful as Lewis said I have no authority to recall the money. In that case I would like to know what they are doing with my payments and how long I am supposed to pay an account whose balance is not reducing.

I am satisfied with the telephonic feedback i have received. Lewis has found my unallocated payments and promised verbally that they are now allocated correctly to my account with no overdue interest at my expense. I will verify once I receive a statement but thank you for replying to my issue and phoning me back to sort it out. much appreciated!
