Monarch Insurance Debacle

On the 19th September 2017, I made an Insurance Claim with Lewis Stores who is my service provider with furniture and appliances I bought with them since 2016. Out of the appliance items I bought with them, the Kelvinator Washing Machine 13Kg and HiSense 40" LED Television set were ****** from my place. I did indeed opened a theft case as advised by their service consultants with Cas No. 145/9/2017. Yet they were so difficult at first telling me that the date of the incident was not stipulated on my Affidavit as the one of the required documents when making an insurance claim after opening a case with a case number. However, I indeed verified that missing detail of the date and gave them the affidavit. I waited up until the 27th January 2018 when I walked into the Lewis Stores and got told that my claim was rejected. Then one of the store service consultants telephonically enquired on my presence and told the same feedback. He then gave me a head office customer number ********** 4444 to call in Cape Town. I however, called that number when I got to my office on the 29th January 2017, and an Lewis Insurance Claims Department lady called Zogriah Boltman whom have been dealing with my claim all along deliberated on the fact that my account was over six months in arrears. I kept showing her the clause on the Credit Agreement does not dwell much on the technicality that she's referring to in her verbal stipulation. She even referred me to her senior by the name of Orlando Valksman whom relentlessly withdrew himself once observing that there was indeed something sinister with the way Zogriah was going about resolving my insurance claim.

There was a moment that I entered into a payment arrangement with them around 16th March 2017. That I will be paying a half the instalments of my normal instalments. There was no indication that their contribution to Monarch Insurance would stop the minute we enter into that payment arrangements. But to my dismay surprise that the payment statement indicates that there has not been insurance debit since 05th July 2017. Yet I only ceased arranged payment on the 15th September 2017 seeing that they were not forthcoming to realized feedback on my insurance claim and I vehemently told their Divisional Manager Margaret Ganefe. Ms. Zogriah Boltman claimed that she sent me a rejection letter that I never received. She only conveniently emailed me a letter dated 17th October 2017. Yet it is got a different address (13311 Alli Street Ext. 16 Glen Ridge Protea Glen 1818) to the one I provided them with which is 16390 Alfonso Street Extension 16 Glen Ridge Protea Glen 1818; that they always get me their account statements with.

I have got all the verified documents for references purposes that I would have wished to attach herewith. I wish to state with you that Lewis Stores / Monarch Insurance Ltd (PTY) are robbing me of my honest consuming rights I entrusted them with. I wish you intervene and show them the unfair socio-economic injustice they are exposing me into.
