Lewis ********ly taking money out of Bank account!

Good day I'm doing this review on behalf of my Mother in Law and wife's bad experience in regard of the payment of the account. My wife are doing all of her Mothers payments because se can't drive around as she is a pensioner. So about 2 months ago my wife went to pay her Mothers Lewis account by means of swiping the card. At first the card did not go through so Bennie at the Fochville Branch said she must swipe again. Eventually the transaction went through twice. My wife went back and demanded to get the double payment back. After moving up and down and phoning between Lewis and FNB costing a lot in calls and petrol to get this resolved my Mother in Law is sitting with no money for more than 21 days to get the money reversed.

This month April my wife decided not to swipe anymore and pay the money in cash on the 10th of April 2021. Then my Mother in Law saw that the money in her back account doesn't match with what there is supposed to be in her account. My wife went to the bank and pulled a bank statement. Noticing that Lewis head office deducted on the 16th of April 2021 the same amount that were paid by my wife out of her Mothers bank account. Now we are still struggling to get the money from Lewis that were deducted.

The saddest part of this is there is no debit order signed to go of through my Mother in Law's bank account and that the amount deducted doesn't even reflect as a payment on her Lewis account. So my question is were is the money that were deducted from the account (in who's pocket) if not showing as a payment????

So my conclusion is somebody is busy with something that they are not supposed to do (***** or *****ing) pensioners money. Nuhaal from Lewis head office account department told the branch Manager in Fochville it will take 3-4 working days for the money to be repaid. Meanwhile it did not take them that long to deduct the money out of my Mothers in Law account?

I want to ask that this gets sorted out as soon as possible as my Mother in Law is now in dire straights with no money for the rest of the month until her next pension day.

My Mother in Laws Lewis account number is: Mrs. E Olivier Acc: ***

Please feel free to contact my wife Chandré Griesel *** to get her statement as well as she handles all of her Mothers Business.

Question: How many times does something like this happens with people that don't see this happening and do double payments that does not reflect as a payment going of on their account. Paying double for something you bought once. So I would suggest everybody with a Lewis account needs to be extra careful. And make sure they don't get led around a bush paying for something they don't have!
