Lewis Debt-collecting Woes

I bought 2 Tablets about three years ago. Then a couple f months later I lost my work, and was diagnosed with Medical conditions that made it impossible to work permanently, and I only receive SASSA Disability Grant atm.

I contacted the store, and they told me that I have insurance that covers unemployment, and that I have to fill-in a form and my debt would be written off, as the insurance would pay for it.

I received letters from Lewis every month, and contacted the branch each time. The first few times they told me that they "forgot" to send the papers through. and then told me that they did send the papers through, and that they'll make certain that it gets written off. and after about eight months the letters from Lewis stopped, and I assumed that everything was fine, and I owed nothing.

Forward about a year, and I received a call from a Debt-Collecting firm wanting to know when I'll pay, which came as a shock. Told them the facts, and they told me they would come back to me, which they never did. And I never heard of them again, then three months later another Debt-Recovery firm contacted me about "my outstanding Lewis debt" I told them the facts, and they also said they would come back to me. Again they disappeared. Think there was another one that phoned, but they disappeared before I cold talk to them.

Which brings us to today, and another Debt-Collecting/Recovery firm phones demanding I pay "my Lewis debt".

When will Lewis finally remove my name from their system? As I did everything according to their policies to have my debt written off.
