Harrassing and Rude staff at Lewis

Poor customer care at Lewis store in Mdantsane Mall. I was recently sent by my grandmother to pay for her account at a Lewis store and was astonished at the way I was treated. My grandmother who is a pensioner has an account with Lewis she bought a bed, she then could not make payments the previous month as she had no money. She then gave me her card this month which had R500, to go to the store and make that payment advising that she will make the rest of the payments when she has the money. I spoke to a lady who asked me to pay what was owed which is R743. I told her my grandmother only had R500 in the card and that's all I could pay, they then started ranting that my grandmother must come herself and tell them that or they would send a van to the address. I told them my gran is over 80 years of age and could not go herself hence she sent me. The manager on duty then picked up the phone and called my grandmother, and then they called some guy to go and raid my gran at the house. I asked them if they would not accept the R500 I had and they told me no I need to pay what's owed because she skipped a payment last month. There was a big man at my address asking my grandmother to make payments or else, my grandmother told him they turned me away so where else would she get more money. The man said he doesn't care where she gets she must go make a loan if she has to. I was very appalled by this treatment and my grandmother says she feels harrassed by the store as they always call every day asking for payments. She cannot even pass the store as she is scared they will recognise her and start harrassing her to pay. They even call countless times on a Sunday, I have never seen such disregard any disrespect for the elderly. I was there to pay and they turned me away, surely they have no right to treat my grandmother in such a manner. I would like to know if Lewis is aware of their staff's behaviour and is it Lewis that tells it's staff members to ill treat customers like this. Lots of people when I shared this with them said they know this treatment and that is why they stopped opening accounts at Lewis.
