Harrasment.

Last year, myself and 2 friends bought a bed at the branch in the Home branch in Cape Gate which closed down. A few months later, the bed was paid up. I have recently been rung with doorstep collectors telling me I still owe them money for goods that have been delivered to my address. However, they cannot provide me with the paperwork of the signed documentation. Even if they could, the last thing that was purchased was the bed, and it was not even delivered to my address.

I have contacted my lawyer, as the doorstep collectors ARE NOT ALLOWED to speak to anyone except the account holder which is not the case. If Lewis wants the bed back, they must pick it up by the address it was delivered but I refuse to pay for goods that was not bought and is being said to have been signed in at my address.

This invasion of privacy at my home is getting out of hand. The process is that the cust0mer should first be phoned or smsd to say that there are payments outstanding, then sentda postal letter requesting payment which has not been followed. I will be getting an restraining order against lewis if they do not follow procedure or if they cannot provide me with the signed paperwork.

Hello Terri Roelf,

Our *** & 525870

Please be advised of the following:
The customer confirmed telephonically as well that she indeed purchased a bed at one of our stores.
Proof of payment for settlement was required. To date we have not received the afore-mentioned.
When our office attempted to contact the customer again, our efforts were more than once futile.

We therefore suggest the customer visit our store in Kraaifontein at her earliest convenience in order for this matter to be resolved amicably. Alternatively our head office can be contacted on ***.

Yours faithfully
The Lewis Group
