Bureau has been effect - bad service

I had account with lewis that was paid up a long time ago however it is now showing on my bureau with an arrears balance of over R1000 . This is preventing me from applying any where ..when i went to the branch they have been giving me the run around and also they head office can not find this account (527521)..i need a paid up letter or settlement letter asap
