Best home and electric

I dont understand how does best home and electric works as I have account with them since 2012 it happened last year I lost my job while Im still paying they requested paperwork my work that Im no longer working I did sent It but thy never reply what they did was calling me every ask me to pay while they know Im no longer working until I decided to communicate with their head office they did reply me n help me but problem was they said insurance cant pay because its lapsed due some month I didnt pay now my problem should I pay full monthly installment amount if its happened I continue to pay because the amount I was paying was included with insurance fee last month they said I must pay full monthly installment or else they will take me to attorney's please help.....
