Poor quality

I have been buying Levi jeans ever since I can remember. What I do remember of jeans of 15 years ago is that they lasted substantially longer than the ones made today. Tears in what seems to be substandard fabric leads to splitting at the back pockets, between the legs and belt loops. With three pairs of relatively new jeans (12 months or so) in the cupboard which is not usable except for mowing the lawn in, I will be looking at what the other brands have to offer.
