Levi's don't back their product. Toughluck if the quality is bad.

I have many pairs of shoes and all my shoes are always in excellent condition. About a month ago I selected my Levi shoes to put on and noticed the **** plastic leather uppers was full of blisters and in no condition that I would wear them. I have only worn the shoes on 3 occasions before with jeans. I returned them to the Levi shop in the Menlo Mall. The manager and regional sales manager both agreed that it was unacceptable and they would look into the matter. This morning my wife got a call to say that the shoes are older than 12 months and therefore out of warrantee. BUT the soles were still in good condition so I could still wear them! ! And I could come and collect them again! I am very much aware the soles are in good condition as the rest of the shoes but the material of the uppers is obviously low and of dubious quality .It is shocking that Levi pretend to be a premium brand and then dont back their products that deteriorate after a couple of years to an un acceptable level? Or are they supposed to look low quality and shabby ? I am extremely dissapointed in the quality and the arrogant way in which my complaint was handled.The shoes are in everyway in perfect condition except for the bad flaking of the uppper material and there is nothing that can be done to even hide the defective low quality of the uppers. I wish I could post pictures here of the shocking flaking of the materials for all to see. i have many other quality shoes that last many many years but this is just plain shocking . The arrogance to suggest that I should go in public with a pair of shoes like that is beyond belief. So hellopeter consumers Caveat Emptor ! ! PS. I have lots of other Levi branded clothing but this is the last. I wont be fooled or hoodwinked be Levi's again.
