Canal Walk Levi store in Cape Town, South Africa. After buying a pair of jeans, I returned it after a week. They refused to refund me. The jeans were still in perfect condition, and they told me they don’t refund jeans if the labels have been taken off. They never informed me specifically that the labels must be on with return. According to the Law of South Africa, if you are not happy with goods that been brought you may return it if it is in the policy time frame. I have brought a lot of goods in the past with label on or off and no one had an issue with the return.

*The Consumer Protection Act 68 stipulates that consumers have a right to a refund under the following circumstances: If the goods are not suitable for the purpose intended.

The worst part of this whole experience was the rude and patronising staff members. The one man working there was also intimidating me and threatening me and I started feeling unsafe.

Worst retail experience of my life!
