Shoes lost in a FIRE and no refund.

My experience with Levingers Hydepark has been nothing but disappointing and aggravating. I took my mother's vintage wedding shoes to be repaired in August 2014. First of all, I didn't hear back from them AT ALL! After 3 months I followed up and went to collect the shoes. Nothing that we discussed had been done so I gave them a chance to correct it. Months and months went by and I heard nothing at all! In March 2015 I called to hear about the shoes. No one knew about my shoes, what had to be done or where they were. Out of pure frustration, I contacted the manager who told me that the cobbler was in hospital and that the warehouse had burned down - my mom's wedding shoes burned in the fire!!! This was devastating as I paid R1000 to have them repaired and was going to wear them on my wedding day. The manager then tells me that they will pay me R850. It is now May and I have not seen a single cent and after following up with the manager she has the cheek to tell me \Levingers is paying out as a gesture of goodwill.
