LEVENGERS DESTROYS DRESSES - BE WARNED I bought a stupidly expensive dress in the UK for my nieces wedding at the end of February, I wore it once and took it to Levengers Hyde Park for dry cleaning in Marrch. They told me it would take a week however when I returned to collect the dress they told me that it was taking longer that expected. By the end of June they admitted that the dress had been damaged and they were trying to resolve the issue, a few weeks later I saw the dress which looks like a rag. It was a lemon coloured lined silk dress which cost just under R10 000, it now has red marks all over the front of it and their efforts to remedy the situation has made the fabric dull and damaged so badly that it looks like it is 10 years old. They do not respond, they do not give you feedback and they have now offered to reimburse me the cost of dry cleaning - so essentially they aren't going to charge me for destroying my dress.
