Couldn't care about damage caused

Utterly disappointing service from the dry cleaning head office in Pretoria. The staff at the Menlyn Maine branch (Edwin and Winnie) were wonderful.

Levingers is continuing to trade on its historical reputation as dry cleaning specialists. I sent an old Chinese embroidered silk gown for dry cleaning - recognising the unusual item the branch staff advised using the "deluxe" option. Customers have to pay in full upfront. It came back with the colour from red and blue threads badly run into the white edges. It is a complete disaster. Clearly none of the "attention to detail" and "each garment is individually cared for" that they promise on their website.

While the branch staff were sympathetic, the factory manager (Zenobia) was only interested in fobbing me off. Not even a hint of an apology was forthcoming from her when she eventually phoned me more than two weeks after my complaint was reported to her. I was simply pointed to the disclaimer that I had signed. They "do not accept liability for any ... damage howsoever caused" - even when they make a mistake. And they still charge in full.

Please don't use Levingers for dry cleaning anything that you care about
