Avoid Levingers

I have had the worst experience with Levingers in Sandton City. In June this year, I was preparing for my overseas trip and I sent my coat for dry-cleaning to Levingers.

Once I received my coat, I opened the package in complete shock that it was lighter in colour. Once I looked at the size, I noticed that it was not mine. This alone was completely unprofessional.

In a hurry for my trip, I frantically contacted the owner, who apologise in a nonchalant manner - as if these things are the norm.

I was in a hurry to get to my trip so I put the coat away in the plastic. A month after my travels, I come back to notice that the belt was missing! And my coat had a stain on it. I messaged the owner, who acknowledged that this happens and sent me about 5 belts to choose from. These all weren’t my belts.

She suggested that she would have one made, so about 1 month later (whilst keeping my coat) she says that oh! It was confirmed that the belt was in the coat (insinuating that I ****) and that they can’t find caramel melton fabric to match my coat. Hence there’s nothing they can do.

This is absolutely devastating as this was a beloved coat of mine with sentimental value. It’s a wrap over coat, which now means I can not style it the way I’m used to.

I asked her to please compensate me as I will source the material and get seamstress to make a belt for me. She refused and insinuated that she gave me the belt. After first, acknowledging that I never had one.

It is now November.
