A cleaner that takes you to the cleaners...

I required that two rugs be cleaned. I gave clear instructions to follow the washing instructions on the rug. Therefore no dry cleaning or stain removal required. The rugs that I received long past the initial collection date were two completely different colours. One the original (beige), the second (white with strange light blue smears all across the rug). When I asked to be refunded the cleaning price (not small at R1815...) as well as a replacement cost for the rugs - was pointed to the indemnity that I signed and told that they could dye the one rug (a disaster waiting to happen for future cleaning). Turns out that the indemnity doesn't actually cover rugs or any similar damage. Whilst I appreciate that cleaning, particularly dry-cleaning can be a risky business. This was not. They simply had to wash the rugs as per the washing instruction - had they done so it would not have resulted in the damage I now have; particularly to one and not the other. Why on earth should anyone trust Levingers Hyde Park with anything more valuable??? Disgusting approach to customer service and to the cleaning service they provide (which one has to pay for upfront I might add) - and they are digging their heels in on refunding anything. So much for the multiple supposed awards that they have won over the years, not entirely sure how.
