Deposit Refund and Disrespect of a fellow Tenant
Anyone in the Roodepoort area that wants to do Rentals STAY AWAY from LETTING PEOPLE in Wilropark......They are sharks of note......charge R3005.35 for early cancellation fee after giving one month's Notice.the statement received from them for the month of November R5322.90 ...then receive a email today after querying why from a R12731.31 deposit being held by them for close on two years I only get out R4436.55 they are charging us two months in arrears for water and lights.....the estimate reading they did for November was R900. \Estimate for 23/11 - 30/11"...on the same statement is electricity 08/12 R1348.81......Water R1264.65.....No where on our Rental statement for November 2015 did they tell us that we still owe over and above the amount and that it would be deducted from our deposit......<br> <br> This is absolute ******** and they ARE NOT Transparent with their Lease Contracts...<br> Oh and to top it all off Carolynne Parsons asked me if I'm Stupid......did u not use electricity in November Yes we did"
We do not read the electricity meters for the complex & HAVE TO wait for the body corporate to send the accounts. Letting People HAS NO SAY over when charges are invoiced & the invoices sent out & is therefore out of our hands when the Body Corporate invoice the electricity and water used for any month. Rental invoices SHOW THE DATE the meter was read. Very clear to tenants which month elec they are paying for in that month. Elec till 23/10 was charged on Dec rent invoice, elec till 23/11 was charged on Jan invoice. NO other way for it to be charged. Writer entered into a fixed term agreement, CPA law states termination of a fixed term agreement carries a cancellation fee, by law, time frame is irrelevant. The fee is no surprise to the complainant as they terminated early once before. On 3/11 an email explaining the deposit refund process was sent & elec acc arrears is SPECIFICALLY mentioned? Allegation that the amount R1348.81 states till 08/12 is untrue. EVERYONE knows when moving out a rental 1 to 2 months elec is still to be invoiced and deducted from the deposit! I did not call the complainant stupid, when it became evident caller refused to understand logic the call was ended
