THE LETTING CORP MAKES YOU PAY FOR THEIR INADEQUACIES

I renewed my lease with Letting Corporation, I was then told I need to sign off to allow for Top Up on my deposit etc. I signed off agreeing to the debited amounts. I pay my rent as per the norm, timeously with increase as per request. I then wait for debit order to come off. Then the account manager mails me to say I need to EFT it to them directly and send through PoP to them. I respond to inform them that I signed off agreement for the amount to be debited. For me to pay directly now exposes me to a double payment from my end. I then get a lawyers letter stating that I am now liable for legal fees over and above my payment because I 'refuse' to pay...

I NEVER REFUSED TO PAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This person has failed to their job and process my debit order, but now wants to hold me accountable because they aren't bothered to do their job?????
