Corona testing dissatisfaction

My partner has been sent to the hospital for Covid testing by his GP because he has been feeling very symptomatic - he stood in the line for almost the whole day, only to be sent back home and told that he should come back tomorrow, because staff need to knock off. How fair is that? Isnt the hospital a 24hr facility? Why do we get sent back in the critical conditions we are in?

I am so hurt to say the least, i can not put into words what you expect me to do for him at home when he needs medical attention.
