Municipal fees

<p>We have been undergoing severe finacial trouble after a failed sale of our house when we already bought a new property. At the moment we are sitting with 2 venues. We are running the wedding venue still because we have booked weddings until the end of the year and we have a resatuarnt in Magaliesburg. The people who bought our wedding venue could not handle the stres and left. No municipal fees awere paid and the property has been vacant for almost 2 years, we go there when we do weddings. We fell behind on payments. We are however on Prepaid electricity. 14 July I went to go do a wedding, the electricityu was off and I could not buy tokens. I went to Lesedi they said we were handed over to lawyers and I have to go speak to them. I went to Mtimandze Projects and waited 2 hours to see Mrs Xoli Mokatse. She said our bill was R181 000! How is that possible, only for municiapl account and water and rates for 2 yeras??>?? Our Rates and water is R1900 and R200 respectively. She said I must pay R750 legal fees aiimediately and then R50 0000 before they switch it on. I said I could not afford that at the moment and she said I must bring R20 000 the next morning when they open then they can help. I was there when they opened with a borrowed R20 000. Sher said I must wait she does not know whether she can help me anymore. I waited outside for 2 hours. She came back and said that everyone is busy, she will phone me. I never received a phone call. I have sent 7 mails, made countless calls and she is never available. At the municipality they told me I must not even go there, they do not deal with accounts that have been ahanded over. I even went to the police to give an affidavit of what has happened. My mother in law stays on the propery now (it has been 2 weeks) and in this time there has been one attempted break in becausse there is no lights or alarms. She is also deaf so it is a huge risk. I now asked Lesedi to send their emails of credit control so that I can speak to someone!!! I am desperate!!! I want to know how they got to that amount and how can I fix it, but no response!!!</p>
