Poor build quality of scissor jacks

I bought two scissor jacks from the company and on or around the 10th of August 2026 I experience structural integrity with one of the jacks were it collapsed while we were using it to jack the car.

Logged the incident with Leroy Merlin South Africa and one person named Andrea responded to me. I stated what the issue was and was informed that they have escalated the matter with the suppliers of the jacks. I waited for two or so weeks and received zero further correspondence. Today on the 24th of August 2026 I am being told that I have abused the jack and my return time has elapsed.

This is poor and unacceptable
