PASSING OFF 1.6mm tubing as 2.0mm
This is an ongoing issue. My online order went through smoothly, I paid. UNTIL... I did not receive my order after 10 days. I called was told there was no stock, even though the online stock showed 'available'. They told me stock would be sent once they had which most likely will be next year! Imagine my suprise when they called today 3 December to say my delivery was on its way. It came. I checked the stock and it was not what I ordered. I ORDERED 2mm STEEL TUBES & RECTANGLE TUBES.. I borrowed a caliper. WHICH READS 1.6mm THIS IS DISGUSTING, SELLING 1.6mm steel tubes as 2.0mm and actually warrants a consumer investigation. PS - Leroy Merlin, I have the caliper readings if you want.

COMPLAINT
Please note my order: 69712 is not fulfilled.
- Order was placed online on 11 Nov.
- Order items was 76x2 SQUARE TUBE (Quantity 9) + 76x38x2 RECTANGLE TUBE (Quantity 3)
- I phoned on 20th Nov.
- Leroy Merlin phoned back after an hour (***) spoke to Brenton, informed me of NO STOCK of square tubes, but available stock of rectangle tubes
- Leroy Merlin Noma Mbatha called apologizing for wrong stock order, said delivery would be free.
- 26 Nov received email (Which I have no idea what this means) "This request was closed and merged into request #45710 "Five9 Call". "
- 3 Dec received a call to accept delivery.
- 3 Dec PM delivery arrived
- Delivery truck had damaged 1 of the SQUARE TUBES with the crane
- I checked and measured the SQUARE TUBES, and did not measure 2mm.
- I took the rectangle tubes assuming them to be 2mm as stock was available as per previous communication
- Returned the invoice with the SQUARE TUBES as not accepted
- Later borrowed a caliper to measure the RECTANGLE TUBES, which measure at 1.6mm
23 DAYS after my order I am sitting with part of my order which is incorrect. Plus and invoice which includes delivery and has not been refunded.
Please fix this problem
