Nice Store. Lame service.

I loved the Leroy Merlin Store (although just like Builders no-one working there actually seems to want to help you), but when I needed to buy 6m gutters which I cannot collect myself, I gladly paid the delivery fee because I was convinced they would be able to deliver and they were the same price as Builders (slightly cheaper) but much cheaper than Chamberlains. Builders had free delivery but would take a week longer to deliver. The deliver date was 2 Jan. By the 10th I still did not have my delivery and when it finally came it was missing the actual 6m gutters I ordered. I phoned and they informed me that some of the products were cancelled because they had no stock. I asked please not to cancel just put it on back-order - I needed the gutters (urgently). They would have phoned me back the next day. The next day I had to phone because no-one phoned back. I phoned 4 times over the next week or so and yet in the end the gutters were cancelled and I was refunded - they did not phone or email me once or make any attempt to inform me.

I decided from now on I will buy from Chamberlains: In store, they are always ready to help. Sure the gutters are more expensive - but it makes sense: to employ good quality staff that actually want to help and serve their customers, cost money. If you want to pay the cheapest price for the same product. expect the cheapest service. I am glad I got to learn this lesson.
