Leroy Merlin Poor service and ******** negligence

Leroy Merlin’s online shopping system is a masterclass in chaos. Not only did they send the wrong product, but their customer care team seems to specialize in empty promises and zero follow-through. Despite multiple calls and assurances, the issue remains unresolved.

I deeply regret not choosing Cashbuild instead — a company that actually understands how to treat customers and fulfill orders correctly.

If you value your time, money, and sanity, steer clear of Leroy Merlin. Shopping with them is a gamble, and the odds are not in your favour.

Update: The offending goods were picked up on Wednesday, 20 August, with a promise to return with the correct delivery on the same day. It is now a week later, and despite the initial flurry of calls from the entities notified to collect the items, there has been no follow-up. I have received no communication since. Leroy Merlin is currently holding onto my payment without delivering the required material. This process began on 25 July—how long is a customer reasonably expected to wait for the delivery of just six NUTEK boards?

Is it not ***** if someone promises a service or a product and then fail to deliver said service or product? And does banks in South Africa not have a legal requirement to prevent ***** and organised crime?
