Leroy Merlin online shop. When searching "Makita battery" on the Leroy Merlin online shop at the search function 22 results come up. The third one on the list of search results is the one I want; the 5AH 18V battery. On the search result list I can see this is the right item, priced there at R1189. When I select "add to cart" straight from that search result list and then go to my cart to pay, I noticed that instead of the item I selected(which is fulfilled by Tool and home), another item was added to my cart. The same battery, but this one is sold by Leroy Merlin and costs R2299. So if I hadn't paid attention I would've bought the Leroy Merlin battery at almost double the price. I reported this via email on 16 July reference number #957373. I explained the problem via email, sending screenshots etc. I mentioned that unless Leroy Merlin is deliberately trying to de***** or deceive customers I suggest they remove the "add to cart" button from the search results for those items that have more than one price option. 3 weeks later I see it is still exactly the same. I have phoned in as well to try and make people at the Marketplace department aware of the error, but it seems either they are unwilling to help or the system is indeed deliberately designed to do this on purpose.
