Do not buy from Leroy Merlin Online

I recently purchased items on the website on the 6th of October 2024. One of the ordered items arrived, the other did not. Today on the 8th of October I receive an email saying my order for the other item in the order has been cancelled. This email is sent at 16:00 in the afternoon. My goods were to be delivered on the 15th November latest as per the communication when checking out on the website. Now when I call about my cancelled order I am told that I will receive a refund by in 10 to 14 days and that they cannot attend to my query now, I need to wait for Monday. That will not work for me as I have to find the product elsewhere before a certain date to complete my project. I do not understand why they took my money knowing that they don’t have the product in stock. Why are they doing business in a shady manner. How do you take money knowing there’s no product to sell? And now I must wait for a refund whereas I didn’t waste time when paying for the said product…. It’s truly shady.
