We purchased a brand new Lepas L4 Amur from [LEPAS. Shortly after taking delivery, we identified a factory-related defect in the paintwork — visible spot buffing marks inconsistent with a normal factory finish. This is not wear and tear; it is a manufacturing/finishing issue that should not be present on a brand new vehicle. We lodged a formal complaint with the dealership on 11 July 2026. Since then, [Jaco & Juan Goldie, to date we have not received a clear resolution, and the LEPASdealership has disputed responsibility, claiming it is factory buffing rather than a dealership fault" / "we are still waiting for a response"]. As the paying customer, it is not our responsibility to determine whether the fault lies with the dealership's pre-delivery inspection process or the factory — we expect the dealer, as our point of sale, to resolve this on our behalf. For a brand new vehicle, this level of aftercare and accountability is unacceptable. We have in terms of the consumer act ALLOWED LEPAS a 30 day period to correct and or provide a solution, to which they have placed it in file 13. - with no interaction what so ever. this is absolutely unacceptable and the market needs to hear and beware
