Leon's Panelbeaters Strand

Took my car in to Leon's Panelbeaters in Strand about 6 weeks back.When I got my car back I noticed my reverse gear did not work anymore.I took it back for them to sort out, left it there , when I picked it up later I noticed my fifth gear and reverse didn't work anymore.Then I was told by Leon that he would fix it at his expense , but that I would have to wait 3 weeks for part to arrive.No courtesy car was offered.After 4.5 weeks they phoned me and I took it in.They told me that they cannot get the part anymore and Mac Gyver fixed it , i.e. A Mickey Mouse fix.I still cannot use my reverse And to use my fifth gear I have to pull my gear lever up first. When I originally took the car in all the gears were fine. I don't know what they did but my reverse gear first and then later my fifth gear didn't work. The warrantee they have given me on this fix is 30 days. My insurer indwe has told me that there is nothing they can do and that me and Leon's need to reach an agreement. So what is the point of an insurer if they cannot or do not want to get involved. I feel done in and disappointed , and all of this happened because some drunken fool drove into my car which was parked outside a friend's flat in her parking Bay.
