Extremely unreliable and unprofessional...

Extremely unreliable and unprofessional... Cam a lot in Randburg is by far much better, a little more costly but at least they are so much more reliable. Unfortunately negative stars aren't an option on these reviews but honesty, that's how bad my experience with Lensrental was... I needed to hire a flash for a wedding (wedding date, Monday the 23rd Sep 2019), I phoned well in advance and I was advised on what info was needed. I booked the flash I needed online (as soon as I got the confirmation saying my application was successful which took about 3 days) and everything was sorted (so I thought). Unfortunately the couple was busy with the preparations for the wedding and they took a while to confirm if I was definitely taking their photos. On the Thursday we were leaving to go on holiday for the weekend and we came back on the Sunday, by Wednesday I still hadn't had confirmation from the couple. I phoned the number I had for lensrental to explain my situation and if the couple comes back to me I will definitely pick the flash up on Sunday, the guy even told me that I could pick it up between 12:00pm and 12:30pm. During the weekend the couple came back to me confirming that I will be taking their photos. I sent a whatsapp through to the same number I called before, saying exactly this: "Good morning Paul, sorry to disturb but the people for the wedding came back to me and I'm definitely doing their photos. What is the latest I can pick the flash up tomorrow? And what time do you open on Monday? Thank you, Monica" Just to get no reply. I then sent another message on the Sunday saying this "Hi Paul, I think it would be best to pick the flash up tomorrow, what is the earliest time I can pick it up?" I was lucky enough to get a reply this time saying "Morning Monica , we open at 9am, regards Johan" As I thought this was all sorted, I arrived there on Monday morning expecting to collect the flash, just to be told that they don't have a flash to hire right now because apparently I "didn't confirm". Now I dont know if I'm being unreasonable but to me this is totally unacceptable and unreliable, I dont know what confirmation was needed... to top it off the guy never even apologized after he could see I was highly frustrated with this whole situation. This was absolutely unacceptable and I don't understand how an owner of a business can accept this behaviour and expect to be open for business with this pathetic service... I don't believe the story of the flash being rented out to someone else because I "didn't confirm", if that was the case then I was expected to be told the truth rather than placing the blame on me saying I "didn't confirm" where I sent 2 messages.

On the other hand I phoned Cam a lot in Randburg right away and within 30mins I had the flash I had expected to receive at Lensrental...
