Lencar Properties is a ****!!!!

I moved in to 18 Dome Street in Glenvista on the 16th March 2018 and on the 18th March 2018 there was a break in. This is a complex which only has an automatic gate and no other security. I informed the estate agent about the break in as well as the landlord, none of which came to the property to investigate, which i suspect may be due to the fact that we are the only black family in the complex and of course we all know how complacent people are with the lives of black people.

We then requested that the landlord to install a trellidor between the bedrooms and the living area to insure our safety. The Landlord agreed to this just as he agreed to giving us a second set of keys, a remote, a gas cylinder, install curtain rails as well as give us an electricity card of which none of these requests have been met.

Three weeks after having moved to the complex, on the 7th April 2018 my sisters car was parked outside when visiting me upon the instruction of the agency as well as the Landlord that all visitors should park outside ( This being out of the lease agreement) he car was ******.

I called the Landlord on the same night to inform him that a car had been ****** he then came to the complex in his white BMW X5 having and drink and clearly drunk, he was rude to me and then asked what do I expect in South Africa when the crime is so high. Paul (the Landlord) expressed no interest in resolving the security matter in this complex.

I then contacted the Estate Agent on the 8th April 2018 to inform them of the ****** vehicle, of course there was no response as usual. I then called Lola who is our estate agent on the 9th April 2018 and of course she did not answer her phone. I then spoke to Divanshnee who assured me that she would escalate the matter after i informed her about the appalling service which i received from Lencar.

Lola ( the estate agent) then sent me an email informing me that nothing would be done to resolve my issues and that I can submit my 2 months notice and vacate the premises.

I must express that I am appalled by the service that I have received from Lencar and I would not recommend that any one should use their agency because for them their primary interest is to service to interests of the Landlord.

In terms of the complex on 18 Dome Street Glenvista which is owned by Barry and Paul I would not recommend that anyone even look in that direction. There is no security system in place and the break ins are insane! This place is dangerous, and if anyone gets ****ed by ********* inside or outside of this property the owners should be held liable because we have sent out cries for help yet nothing has been done!
