LenCANT properties

I gave notice a month in advance, vacated the unit, and attempted to hand over keys but Lencar Exclusive Properties (Pty) Ltd were unable to meet me half way.

I paid a full months rental as an upfront deposit and cant seem to get it back. I was only notified a week before moving out; and only when I called; that there was a new tenant and I would not be liable for the June rental.Lencar Exclusive Properties (Pty) Ltd did not even contact me to tell me this.

After being told this, Lencar Exclusive Properties (Pty) Ltd sends me a letter of demand for the June rental. I call my agent as well as accounts; who both apologized profusely for the error and assure that everything will be reversed with the credit bureau.

I have since handed over the keys and conducted a exit inspection; which states the unit is in the same condition as it was at the time of occupancy. I have now also revived an email stating that I will be refunded my deposit minus the utilities for MAY as the utilities are charged a month in arrears. Although the exit inspection document attached is for the wrong address, mine states the same facts.
*Please keep in mind that this is not chump change - in fact its a whole months rental upfront, kindly also note the point mentioned above "utilities are charged a month in arrears."*

It has now been almost three weeks and I have heard nothing with regards to the refund of my deposit.
I have contacted them twice now. The responses I've received are "we will contact you shortly for banking details to refund the deposit" and the latest one stating that "after the calculation for utilities", which will be on the 18th of July I will receive my refund.

I am aware that mistakes do happen - however I believe that this is pure incompetence.
How is it possible to communicate so ineffectively? It is not possible that I receive a letter of demand for an amount including utilities - but have to wait for the final calculation to be done a month and a half after i have moved out.

I have sent emails, and called to sort the issue out only to be told "you have no right to contact Hello Perter"
