Should normal Cancellation policy be app**** during this corona virus period?

Unfortunately with the total uncer*****y regarding the virus issue & the fact that we are not able to give a possible future postponement date, had no option but to cancel all our bookings for our April accommodation

I do however feel this is totally out of our control and therefore the normal cancellation policy for each establishment should not apply. I firmly believe this to be an out of the ordinary case and therefore the normal blanket cancellation policy should not apply in this case with the virus issue at hand
