Lekkeslaap changes its payouts to hosts by withholding funds to boost its coffers.

On the 14th November 2024, Lekkeslaap announced that it will be changing its payout system to all their hosts, by holding back all payments for future bookings to its establishments wef 01 January 2025. Payments would only be made to the hosts a week prior to a customer's check in date and not within 3 working days of the booking being paid. In other words if a customer books for December 2025, Lekkeslaap will withhold all funds due to the establishment host until prior to the customer checking in. Their main reason being "aligning with industry standards set by global platforms". No other industry or platform in this scenario has done this except Airbnb, which charges the host 3,5% commission. Lekkeslaap charges 17,25% commission! This is preposterous!
