Lekkerslaap holding onto money.
As a lodge owner, I must say that what Lekkerslaap is doing to owners is not right. They changed their rules in March, now saying that if a guest books with them and pays, they will only pay over the money to the lodge owner a week before check in. So if the guest postpones , so does the payment to the owner. This is the time we need the money the most to try and keep the lodge open and running so that the guests have a lodge to go to! So my guests have postponed their stay indefenitly, meaning they can choose to go next week. So I will only receive the money ,they paid in full, next year....so Lekkerslaap sits with my money in their bank account. In a time when we all need to support each other and help each other, Lekkerslaap is only thinking about themselves and obviously do not realize that there would not be a 'Lekkerslaap" without us lodge owners. You only exist because of us. Why not just take your commission and pay whats due to us so we could pay our levies, bonds etc...? What you are doing is morally and ethically wrong. I cant be the only lodge owner that feels this way.
Thank you for reaching out to us on HelloPeter.
We have had to make some difficult decisions over the last few months to ensure that we can continue to offer the best possible service to both our guest and our establishment owners. One of these is the enforcement of our existing on-payments policy, which is to hold guest deposits until 7 days before check-in. This protects our guests, in that in the event of a further extension to lock-down we would easily be able to process refunds to them. This policy will, however, be reviewed once the lock-down has ended.
Kind Regards
