Excruciating pain
I cut myself with this stainless steel cup last night whilst washing dishes.
I received 6 stitches and am in such pain that l throw up. Getting stitched up was excruciating!! Going to the ER with my two small boys was quite a challenge. The angle of the cut was a challenge to stitch up. The tetnis injection is so sore today!
Imagine it being one of my kids, my mouth, or worse, cutting off a finger, ligaments, nerves etc. I was LUCKY!
Due to the location and size of the cut, l have to go back to hospital in 48 hours to ensure it has not become septic and ensure that antibiotics are not needed!

The laceration is on my dominant hand and doing daily tasks is a challenge. Not sure if l should even mention this, due to public comments, but simple tasks has become impossible. Dressing. Completely and utterly embarrassed to say, my son pointed out that a visit to the loo will also be quite a challenge. But this is reality.
What if this happened whilst camping this holiday season where we were 140 km away from the closest hospital either way.
