Voucher misleading tactics
I was invited by LPA after being told that I had a surprise gift or voucher waiting for me. Because of this, I changed my plans for the day and went to see them, expecting to simply collect what was promised.
Instead, I sat through a sales presentation that lasted over an hour, with repeated pressure to purchase a holiday membership. After we explained that we wanted time to think about such a big financial decision, we were told we could only receive the promised restaurant voucher if we came back a few days later with our answer.
This was disappointing. The "surprise" or "voucher" was used to get us through the door, and it felt misleading. If the voucher was genuinely part of the invitation, it should have been given regardless of whether we signed up or not.
The staff were polite, but the overall experience left us feeling that our time was not respected. I believe people should be told upfront if they are being invited to attend a sales presentation, rather than being led to believe they are simply collecting a gift or voucher.
